Wing-Surf Lessons

Previous experience not required, in any sport, to start Wing-Surf Lessons. It’s an easy and fun sport, but it needs attention, especially in the beginning. Your first steps must be taken in a experienced school.

Don’t trust the first person on the beach or on the internet, who will be introduced his self to you as an instructor and will be willing to teach you. You will lose time, money and possibly risk your safety.

Athens Watersports is a recognized Sailing School. We have the greatest experience in Greece, we are the first to do organized Wing-Surf and Wing-Foil courses in our country. Trust our experienced trainers and follow the right training programs. We have suitable Wing training equipment as well as accompanying boats for training and safety.

So do not hesitate. Choose one of the following programs and enter the magical world of Wing:

Level 1 – Wing-Surf

The program is aimed at a complete beginner student, with or without basic sailing knowledge. Includes the following:

  • Theory of basic principles of sailing, wing-surf flights and safety systems in the classroom or on the beach.
  • Wing surf training, using a special training board with many litres and easy lift.
  • Rides with return to the same point of entry.
  • Proper body postur
  • Turns, ponza and tak

  After the end of Level 1, you will have learned the basic manipulations of the wing and you will have a clear image of the sport. You can continue with a rental package, proceed to the purchase of your own Wing and safely take your rides with your SUP or with entry Windsurf board or proceed to LEVEL 2 to learn Wing-Foil.

 The program consists of 3 modules, lasting 60 minutes each.

Level 2 – Wing-Foil

The program is aimed for anyone who has completed Level 1 and wants to continue learning Wing-Foil. Includes:

 

  • Theory of basic principles and operation of the foil in the classroom or on the beach.
  • Learning to get out of the water and ride on the Foil.
  • Foot steps and return to the same point of entry, correct body posture.
  • Turns, ponca and tak

 At the end of the program you will be completely independent and able to do wingsurf safely.

 It consists of 5 sections, lasting 60 minutes each.

Course Policy

  • Necessary good swimming knowledge
  • Equipment included: Wing, Board, Life jacket, Helmet, Leash
  • Private lessons.
  • The instructor is in the water next to you, while in the last lessons he follows you and tell you instructions from the boat.
  • During the lessons we have a full equiped boat in the land for your safety. Rescue is included.
  • All the courses are paid in advanced. The duration is one year. (We dont have refunds)
  • The Wingsurf / wingfoil is a sport strictly dependent on weather conditions and wind. The lesson may need to be canceled if the instructor deems the conditions are dangerous or unsuitable for the lesson.
