Windsurfing Lessons

Either you are 7 or 67 years old, you need only few Windsurfing Lessons to our school, to start sailing. You need only few hours to start crusing using the wind and make all the basic maneuvers.

Athens Watersports is an Official Licenced Sailing School, with experienced instructors. Our Club is equiped with suitable instructional windsurf equipment and of cource  rescue boats. Our Shcool is based at Loutsa bay, the best windsurfing spot of Attica, with ideal wind conditions.

Don’t trust the fist guy you find on the beach or on web, introducing himself as self instructor. You will loose money, time and possibly risk your personal safety.

Choose one of the following courses and enter the magical world of Windsurfing    

Level 1 – Begginer Course

LEVEL-1 course is suitable for the totaly begginer student and includes the following:

  • Basics Theory: Sailing, Wind and Windsurfing Equipment
  • Simulation practise at the beach and starting practishing in the sea.
  • Sail pulling technique, balance and correct body stance on the board.
  • Start sailing in different directions, upwind, sidewind and downwind
  • Turns, Tack and Jibe

  After the course, you will be capable of sailing with safety, executing the basic turns, at light wind conditions. Continue to LEVEL-2 course in order to complete your windsurfing education.

Course duration 5 Hours. Choose on of the follwing packages  

LEVEL 1 - LESSON 1 HOUR

LEVEL 1 - PACKAGE 5 HOURS

€175/ 5 Hours

Level 2 – Advanced Course

If you have already finished LEVEL-1 cource and wish to continue and complete your windsurfing training, then you sould go for LEVEL-2 . This course includes the following:

  • Sailing improvement, better upwind cruising, go in and return at tha same spot.
  • Fast turning, jibes and tacks.
  • Introduction of the Harness and fist try of sailing hunged on sail.
  • Indroduction to Beachstart

At the end of LEVEL-2 cource, you will be capable of windsurfing with safety, go and come back at the same spot and you have for sure train yourselve renting equipment. You could also continue to Advanced Courses if you like.

Level 3 – Special Courses

In order to book Special Cources, you should have completed LEVEL-2 or be a windsurfer at this level.

  • WATERSTART
    Start with out the use of uphaul, from inside the water. Beachstart good knowlenge is nessesary.
  • PLANNING
    Fast sailing, using footstraps and harness. This is the real windsurfing. Increase your speed and have pure fun with less strain.
  • JIBING
    Improove your turings. Make a fast planning jibe windy conditions. 
  • ΒUMP & JUMP
    Your first contact to the magical wave windsurfing. Learn how to do you first jumps, corectly and with safety. 

Special courses with help you level up and becoube an advanced windsurfer.

Lessons Policy

  • A resque boat is always in readiness, during lessons, in case of emergency.
  • Coach boat is used for Level-3 courses or for any other course is nessesary.
  • Full Windsurf Equipment and Life vest is inclunded.
  • Good knowledge of swimming is nessessary.
  • All the courses are paid in advanced. The duration is one year. (We dont have refunds)
  • Windsurfing is a sports that depends very much of the weather conditions and wind speed.
  • Lesson could possibly be postponed, if the istructor evaluate that the conditions are dangerous or unappropriated for the lessons. In this case the lesson will be resceduled.
  • Lessons are made in groups of up to 2 stundents. Instructor is always by you in the sea.
  • It is a fact, that group training is the most efficient. But sometimes a personal training is nessessary for some some students. In case of a private lesson the price becomes:

  45€ / 1 Hour private lesson
 200€ / Level-1 or Level 2 Package private lessons
